The 2026 Summer Reading theme is Unearth a Story! This summer, children are invited to dig into great books, discover new adventures, and participate in a variety of fun and engaging activities at the library.
Our Children’s Summer Reading Program features programs and activities Monday through Friday, with a few special events offered on Saturdays throughout the summer. Children can log their weekly reading minutes to earn Book Bucks, which can be used to purchase prizes at the Book Buck Store all summer long.
Participants can earn even more Book Bucks by attending library programs and events listed on the Children’s Summer Reading page. Whether your child loves reading, crafting, learning, or exploring new interests, there will be plenty of opportunities to join in the fun.
We look forward to spending the summer with you as we celebrate reading, imagination, and discovery. If you have any questions about the program, please contact the Library—we’ll be happy to help!

Back by popular demand, our Adult and Teen Summer Reading Challenge is returning for another exciting summer of reading!Â
Participants can earn one raffle ticket for every five hours of reading, with a maximum of 10 raffle tickets earned through reading time alone. Readers can also earn additional raffle tickets by completing a variety of special reading and activity challenges throughout the summer.
A complete list of challenges can be found on the Adult Summer Reading page, but we encourage you to stop by the Library to pick up your challenge sheet and get started. Track your progress, complete challenges, and enjoy a summer filled with great books, new discoveries, and opportunities to win prizes and gift cards from local businesses!
